Cost figures on this site — in the guides, on service pages and from the [cost estimator](https://nycretainingwalls.com/tools/retaining-wall-cost-estimator/) — are estimates based on published cost guides adjusted for New York City. They aren't quotes or offers. Your price comes only from a written, line-item proposal after a site visit, and a contract you sign.

## Not legal or engineering advice

The guides, checklists and the [failure assessment](https://nycretainingwalls.com/tools/retaining-wall-assessment/) explain codes, rules and common conditions in plain English. They aren't legal advice, engineering advice or a structural evaluation of your wall. Rules change, and every wall is different.
